I’m building an online space where readers can do more than just rate or review books—they can actually talk to one another. The core of the project is a community-driven app focused on lively discussions around everything we read.
Here is the experience I’m after: users sign in, set up a simple profile, and immediately see active Book Clubs they can join. Each club has its own threaded discussion area plus a calendar where moderators can post upcoming meetings or reading milestones. In addition, I want recurring Author Q&A sessions that feel like live events; readers submit questions in advance or in real time, and authors respond in a dedicated feed.

• Author Q&A sessions: time-boxed events with moderated comment streams.
• User profiles with avatars, favorite genres, and current reading lists.
• One-to-one and group messaging so members can chat outside public threads.

Please plan for a clean, modern UI (mobile-first responsive web app or a cross-platform build—open to your suggestion) plus a secure, scalable backend that can grow along with the community. Real-time or near–real-time updates on discussions and messages are important to keep conversations flowing.
