I need help extracting some PDF files from my DSpace installation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a freelancer to help me with extracting some PDF files from my DSpace installation. The main purpose of extracting these files is for archiving. I already have my DSpace settings configured, so I only need assistance with extracting a few specific files. The files I am looking to extract are all in PDF format.
I do have a DSpace instalation on production.
I need to extract a bunch of pdf files from the database and stored them in an orderly manner to be able to download the fiels to external disk.
Please do not bid if:
- Not an ubuntu expert
- Not a Postgres expert
- If you don't have experience with apache tomcat
- You don't have time for this project
- If you have trouble communicating in English or Spanish
- If you have not read this information and understand it completely

Here are the things I need to do:
1- I need to install pgadmin or similar on the Ubuntu server in order to query the DB via the web browser for later use
2- You must connect to the server via anydesk, no password will be provided. And work in parallel with me on a video call
3- The web server and DSpace must be online all the time. This is a production server
4- All PDF files must be extracted from the DB and stored in folders orderly by year and month
5- The folders of the years must be compressed in zip format to facilitate downloading to an external disk drive
6- I need to extract to an area of the web server that allows me to download the files to an external disk drive
7- For later use you need to create a store procedure or python script to extract the PDF files. The parameters for this SP must be from-to year and month
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with DSpace installations
- Proficiency in extracting files from DSpace
- Experience with Postgres Sql
- Experience with Ubuntu server
