Troubleshoot OpenMPI Initialization Issues on Ubuntu VM

I'm experiencing issues with my OpenMPI setup on an Ubuntu virtual machine. The orted fails to initialize and I'm unable to run my compiled code.
I've already modified the host files, set the environment variables, and installed all necessary dependencies.
I need an expert in OpenMPI who can help me diagnose and fix this issue. Proficiency in Ubuntu and OpenMPI is a must, and prior experience with virtual machine setups will be a significant advantage.

The task is to run a .cpp file between two vms, one being a master and another being a worker node.
When I have them connected via ssh, and compiled the cpp, and trying to run the compilation, it does not run and hangs on the code.
