I need to have my website/server hosting transferred from my existing hosting provider to a Google Cloud server on my account. Here are the details on what needs to be done provided from my existing hosting provider....

"You’d need to setup a dedicated server or at the very least a private server with a minimum of 8GB ram, 160GB HDD, and suggest 4 CPUs.

The build will make the transition the most smooth it can be if it is done using Linux Ubuntu 16.04LTS or newer with APACHE/MYSQL.

Once the server is configured, updated, and secured, the files could be moved over, the database could be imported, and then you could change all the config files to match your new database name, user, and pass.

You will also need to setup all the cron jobs on the server to match the same scripts and timing as the ones that currently exist. Any paths that change due to the new server would obviously require an update.

Someone that is really good with this type of thing can probably do the move with a full day’s work.

At that time, you’d then be able to test the site on whatever IP or private URL it is on, then change the name severs to look at your new hosting, and then lastly cancel the current server since it would no longer be needed and the domain wouldn’t be pointing there any longer"
