Fix & Deploy Python Automation
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
My current Python automation script runs, but the results are wrong—so the core problem is logical errors rather than anything that fails at compile time. I need an experienced Python developer to trace the faulty logic, correct it, and then put the working script into production.
You will start by reviewing the code and any helper modules, replicate the bug I am seeing, and explain why the output is off. Once the logic is patched, I want the script fully tested under the same data sets that exposed the issue, plus a few edge-case inputs to ensure robustness.
When the fixes are confirmed, the final step is deployment to the live environment. The project sits on a small Ubuntu VPS with Python 3.10, virtualenv and Git already in place, so you can push the clean code straight to the server, set up a service/cron job, and verify that the task runs automatically without manual intervention.
Deliverables:
• Corrected and commented Python script
• Brief changelog summarising the logic fixes
• Deployment to the VPS with clear run instructions (readme or wiki page)
• Confirmation that the automated job triggers and finishes successfully
