Comprehensive Desktop & Network Support -- 2
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
My office relies heavily on a mixed environment of Windows workstations and a growing fleet of Ubuntu machines, so day-to-day stability is critical. I need someone who can drop straight into real-world troubleshooting—swapping out failing laptop drives, cleaning up driver issues, reinstalling an OS when it is faster than patching, and keeping every system fully-patched and backed up.
The immediate priority is our Ubuntu-based infrastructure: fresh server installations, user management, and routine CLI-level administration. Alongside this, I have several hardware firewalls that must be given a clean, BASIC setup—standard rules, NAT, limited port exposure, and a sanity check on default credentials.
Networking touches almost every ticket that crosses my desk. You will be the one tracing cabling for a stubborn LAN outage, configuring VLANs on a managed switch, or tweaking routing tables so that our two branch offices stay reachable over the WAN. Most gear is Cisco-flavoured but there are a few small Mikrotik and TP-Link devices in the mix.
Deliverables
• Stable, fully-patched Ubuntu servers (initial install done, updates enabled, SSH hardened).
• Workstations and laptops repaired or re-imaged as needed, with minimal user downtime.
• Firewalls brought to a documented baseline configuration (ruleset export included).
• LAN/WAN issues diagnosed and resolved; switch & router configs backed up.
• Clear, concise notes in a shared ticket system so every change is traceable.
This can turn into a longer engagement if we work well together—but I’m also fine with short, focused bursts of support when something breaks. Availability during business hours (GMT+0 to GMT+3 overlap) is preferred so we can hop on a quick call or screen-share when a problem escalates.
If this sounds like your everyday playground—especially the Ubuntu side—drop me a message describing your most recent hands-on fix and the tools you used.
