Customized Low Voltage Electrical Plan

Job ID: 40224536

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

Project Overview: I am currently constructing a 4,500 sq. ft. custom home and need a comprehensive Low Voltage Design & Wiring Schedule. I am looking to design a "Rough-In Plan" that I can hand to my electrician/cabling installer.

I have a strong preference for the Ubiquiti (UniFi) ecosystem for networking and security.

Scope of Work:

Home Network (Ethernet/Wi-Fi):

Design a robust Ubiquiti UniFi network topology.

Determine optimal Wireless Access Point (AP) placement for coverage across three floors + outdoor areas.

Plan CAT6a drop locations for TVs, office workstations, and backhaul.

Whole House Audio:

Design wiring zones for multi-room audio (in-ceiling/in-wall speakers).

Designate "Home Run" locations to a central rack/AV closet.

Recommend speaker placement for optimal acoustics in key areas (Home Theater, Great Room, Kitchen, Patio).

Security & Surveillance:

Placement of PoE cameras (UniFi Protect series preferred).

Locations for doorbell (G4/G5 Pro) and potential sensors.

Hardware Rack Design:

Basic rack layout/diagram for the mechanical room (patch panels, switch depth, UPS sizing).

Deliverables Required:

Low Voltage Map (PDF Overlay): My floor plans marked up with clear icons and labels for every drop (Data, Speaker, Camera, WAP).

Cable Schedule: A spreadsheet listing every cable run (e.g., "ID: D-01, Type: CAT6a, To: Master Bed TV").

Bill of Materials (BOM): A shopping list of recommended hardware (Ubiquiti SKUs, rack equipment, patch panels, bulk wire specs).

Technical Preferences:

Ecosystem: Ubiquiti UniFi (Network & Protect).

Audio: Open to recommendations (Sonos Amp, UniFi Connect, or traditional centralized distribution).
