Super Dog Book Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m gearing up to publish my new children’s book, “Tuck: The Adventures of a Super Dog,” and I need a talented designer to create both the cover and the full interior layout. Tuck looks like any other golden retriever he doesn't have a cape just so I don't get pictures of a flying dog
Cover goals
• Realistic illustration style that still feels warm and kid-friendly
• Front, spine, and back designs featuring Tuck (our Super Dog), a sense-of-place background, and a few supporting characters so readers meet the whole team at a glance
• Print-ready files plus a high-resolution ebook version
Interior layout
• Page-by-page template that balances text blocks with illustration placements
• Consistent typography choices suitable for early readers
• Headers, footers, page numbers, and simple chapter openers
• Final output as press-ready PDF and a reflowable EPUB
Workflow expectations
– I’ll supply the manuscript, illustration references, trim size, and printer specs as soon as we start.
– Please share an initial concept for the cover and a sample spread; we’ll refine from there.
– Up to three revision rounds are perfect; more can be discussed if needed.
– Source files (Adobe InDesign, layered PSD/AI, or comparable) are part of the hand-off.
