Innovative University-Styled Apparel Design

I’m looking for a talented and creative designer to develop a set of university-style apparel designs. The goal is to create designs that capture the classic, traditional “college” aesthetic while giving it a fresh, modern twist.

The style I’m aiming for is inspired by vintage university merchandise (such as Ivy League or classic American college designs), but updated to feel more current, clean, and wearable for today’s audience. I want something that feels authentic and nostalgic, yet not outdated.

What I’m looking for:
- Designs for university apparel (hoodies, sweatshirts, t-shirts, etc.)
- A balance between vintage/heritage and modern/minimal design styles
- Strong typography (college-style fonts, athletic lettering, etc.)
- Clean layouts that work well on clothing
- Attention to detail in spacing, alignment, and overall composition

Design Direction:
- Classic collegiate elements (arched text, established dates, emblems, badges, etc.)
- Subtle distressed or aged effects (optional, not overdone)
- Modern color combinations that work well on apparel (especially dark fabrics like black or navy)
- Simple but impactful graphics — not overly complicated

What I expect from you:
- Ability to understand and translate a concept into strong visual designs
- Creativity in blending old-school and modern styles
- Experience in apparel or streetwear design is a plus
- Willingness to iterate and refine based on feedback
