Fountain-Pen German Handwriting Font
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I’m looking for a type designer who can transform my own handwriting sample into a fully usable font. I will supply a clear scan of the text that you can trace or digitise; the end result must read as if it was laid down with a fountain pen—slightly imperfect, with gentle variation in spacing and kerning so it never feels typeset or mechanical.
The character set has to cover the complete German alphabet, including both umlauts (ä, ö, ü) and the Eszett (ß), plus standard English letters, figures, punctuation and common diacritics. If additional accented Latin characters are easy to include, that’s a welcome extra.
I’ll need the finished font delivered in OTF or TTF format, ready to install on Mac and Windows, along with any alternates or ligatures you create to enhance the handwritten feel. Please also supply a simple PDF specimen so I can check that every glyph renders correctly before we close the project.
If you enjoy crafting natural-looking script faces and are comfortable fine-tuning spacing by hand, you’ll be a perfect fit. I’m happy to answer questions and can provide more reference images as soon as we start.
