Atticus Layout for Neurodiverse Coaching

I have a finished manuscript (40,000 words plus references) on coaching neurodiverse athletes and now need it transformed inside Atticus into a design that feels informational and authoritative while staying visually engaging. I definitely don’t want readers staring at a wall of uninterrupted text; instead, I’m after a layout that guides the eye with smart use of substructure, colour cues, and white space.

The book MUST be legible to people with dyslexia. Atkins Hyperlegible is the only font I will consider, and center and right justification are not allowed. Overuse of italics is not great either.

Here’s what I’m picturing:
• Atticus-ready interior, fully styled for both digital and print export.
• Strategic infographics or simple illustrations that clarify complex ideas without overwhelming the page.
• Well-placed pull quotes or short sidebars that reinforce key takeaways and give visual breathing room.
• Consistent, professional typography choices that remain accessible to neurodiverse audiences (think clear headings, generous line spacing, and predictable hierarchy).
