Opinion on time required for custom changes to vacation rental platform
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Looking to hire someone to have a quick look at the coding on a pre-built vacation rental platform, similar to the popular vacation rental platforms that have come to be known worldwide. You can view web demo of the platform here: https://demo.rentallscript.com/
This small project is for just two things
#1 Give it a onceover. We have already bought it; I would like to have a native or strong English speaker (other than one that works for the company we bought from) let me know if they see any problems with the way it is built. Do you see anything that would cause it to, for example, break down at a certain number of users, etc.
#2 Estimate the hours required to do some custom changes we will soon be bidding out. This project is not for these changes, we are just paying for some unbiased advice on the number of hours that would be required to complete these customizations. Please estimate the time required for these changes on all three parts, web, android, and apple.
Custom change 1 – the default setting for the platform is guests cannot book the day before a blocked day. If the 20th is booked, you book the 21st, but not the 19th. I am not sure why they built it like this, but we would like that changed so that check out is possible on the same day that is already booked.
Custom Change 2 – security deposit feature added. Host can set security deposit, choose to keep or to refund to guests after they check out.
Custom Change 3 – tax feature added. Site will automatically collect tax based on a tax rate set for each state in admin. So, if you upload a property in New York, the site will automatically collect the tax that is set for that state, and pay to Admin.
A more detailed scope of work document will be provided to winning bidder for custom change 2 and 3. To assist you in providing us with the time estimate we need.
code for web and apps will be available for winning bidder to look at.

The project is not to complete these changes, just for professional that knows about this type of coding to tell us how long they think it would take a programmer to complete this work. Put the word “apple” in your reply, it will help parse out all the bidding that is automatic and very annoying.
Looking to pay perhaps in the $100 dollar range. I am not sure how long it would take an individual that knows these technologies to give the code a quick look and provide the time estimates for the changes.
