Twilio Election WhatsApp Bot
Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR
I need a fully-functional WhatsApp chatbot, built on the Twilio API, that will help a political team gather voter feedback in the run-up to the Indian elections.
Core flow
• When a voter sends “Hi”, the bot should greet in English by default and present a simple five-item menu (e.g., Development, Local Issues, Candidate Queries, Volunteer, Other).
• The user chooses a category, then the bot asks for their name and booth/ward number.
• Finally, the bot invites the voter to describe the issue in text or drop a voice note.
Data handling
All captured fields—name, booth/ward, category chosen, the raw text or the voice-to-text transcription, timestamp, and user’s WhatsApp number—must be pushed instantly into a Google Sheet. A brief confirmation message should be sent back to the voter.
Admin view
A lightweight web dashboard is required so staff can see incoming entries in real time, search/filter by category or ward, and manually mark items as resolved.
Bonus functionality
• Respond dynamically in Malayalam and Hindi when the user’s first message is in either language.
• Transcribe voice notes accurately (Google Cloud Speech-to-Text or any comparable engine).
Timeline
Everything—bot, Sheet integration, dashboard, and optional bonuses—needs to be in place within 3–5 days. Please factor in at least one round of testing on my Twilio number before hand-over.
Deliverables
1. Twilio Studio / Node.js (or preferred stack) project files.
2. Google Sheet with correct headings and live API key integration.
3. Source code for language detection and transcription modules.
4. Simple web dashboard (hosted or deployable).
5. Step-by-step deployment guide so my team can redeploy or tweak flows later.
If something in the brief is unclear, let me know right away so we can keep the schedule tight.
