Turkish-English Creative Translation
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I need a versatile translator who is completely fluent in both Turkish and English to handle a steady stream of creative material. Most files are short stories, blog-style articles, scripts, and the occasional video transcript that require an engaging, culturally accurate voice rather than a literal word-for-word rendering.
Scope
• Translate in either direction—Turkish to English or English to Turkish—depending on the file I provide.
• Preserve tone, nuance, and stylistic flair so the finished piece reads as if it were originally written in the target language.
• For videos, supply time-coded subtitles in SRT format.
What I will supply
• Source text or video links
• Reference glossaries or character notes when available
• Deadlines for each batch (typically 3–5 days, but flexible with larger files)
What I expect back
• A clean, proofread translation in editable format (DOCX or Google Doc)
• For subtitles, a synced SRT plus the same translation in plain text
• Brief translator’s notes explaining any culturally specific choices or puns you adapted
If you have a background in fiction, poetry, or screenwriting, mention it—those skills are highly valued here.
