Daily Machinery Delivery Service
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
I am in need of a reliable and professional individual to handle daily delivery and collection of medium-sized construction machinery using a company provided Jeep and trailer.
Responsibilities:
Deliver and pick up rental equipment using a company Jeep and trailer
Help load rental equipment onto customer-provided transportation and trailer, and ensure equipment is secured properly following all safety requirements.
Determine the most efficient route based on load weight, road, and traffic conditions.
Adhere to rules and regulations regarding oversize loads and permits.
Instruct customers on proper equipment use and safety procedures.
Inspect equipment upon return for damage, abuse, fuel levels, and all attachments.
Assist/Carry out service tasks as needed.
Complete documents for rental.
Perform repairs or maintenance and complete operational inspection of all returned rental machines.
Report all accidents and incidents involving drivers or company equipment.
Wash all rental machines upon return and touch up paint as needed to maintain proper machine appearance.
Maintain delivery vehicle appearance and mechanical condition.
Actively care and advocate safety at Hickey Hire.
Adhere to all applicable safety policies, procedures, and standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Valid Category BE or Artic driver's license with an excellent driving record is required.
HGV drivers license would be preferable but not essential
6 months minimum commercial driving experience with a Jeep/Van & trailer required.
Knowledge of usage and operation of light construction equipment preferred.
Working knowledge of transporting equipment on trailers
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills required.
Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision required.
Consistent attendance.
