WordPress Site not loading & Malware Scan
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
My WordPress site has suddenly gone completely blank—no front-end, no back-end, and no access to the admin dashboard. I haven’t touched plugins, themes, or the core in weeks, so something else is blocking the load. I need a skilled WordPress troubleshooter to bring the site back online and then run a thorough security sweep to be sure no malware slipped in.
Scope
• Track down the root cause of the failure (server error, corrupted files, database issue, or malicious code) and get the site loading normally again.
• Perform a complete malware/virus scan using your preferred tools (Sucuri, Wordfence, or similar) and remove any infections you find.
• Once clean, harden the installation—update core files, themes, and plugins, tighten file permissions, and add any practical security rules (.htaccess, wp-config improvements, etc.).
• Provide a brief report outlining what broke, what you fixed, any malicious code found, and the security steps taken so I can keep track for future reference.
Acceptance Criteria
1. Front-end and wp-admin both load without errors.
2. Malware scan returns clean results.
3. Security hardening steps are implemented and documented.
4. Final report delivered as a simple text or PDF file.
You’ll receive FTP/cPanel and database credentials as soon as we start. Looking forward to having the site healthy and secure again.
