Windows Desktop Stutter Diagnosis

Job ID: 40143238

Budget: $30 – $250 CAD

My Windows-based desktop runs smoothly most of the time, yet it starts to stutter whenever I launch a few specific, resource-heavy applications. I’d like someone who can zero-in on the root cause—whether it’s a driver conflict, background service, thermal throttling, disk bottleneck, or something deeper at the hardware level—and guide me through a reliable fix.

Here’s what I need from you:
• A thorough diagnostic session (remote is fine) that reproduces the issue under the same tasks where the problem appears.
• A clear, plain-English report of findings outlining what went wrong—covering software, Windows settings, drivers, and hardware angles.
• Actionable steps or hands-on changes that permanently eliminate the stutter, followed by a quick verification session so we both confirm the desktop performs smoothly.

Please be comfortable with common Windows troubleshooting utilities (Event Viewer, Resource Monitor, Device Manager, Minidump analysis, BIOS/UEFI updates, third-party benchmark tools, etc.), and be ready to walk me through anything that requires a reboot or physical check. If additional software or firmware needs installing, mention it first so I can approve.

Once I can run those same tasks without hiccups for a full hour, I’ll consider the job complete.
