On-Site IT Support Technician

Job ID: 40550038

Budget: £5 – £10 GBP

I need an entry-level IT support specialist who can work from our Clerkenwell studio three days a week on a long-term, full-time basis. The role is hands-on and completely in-house; remote work is not an option because most requests involve physical access to devices or cabling.

Your typical day will revolve around Windows laptops: unboxing and imaging new machines, installing the usual productivity and security software, joining them to the network, and making sure every driver is happy before handing the device to its owner. When something breaks you will be the first call, so confident basic troubleshooting—blue-screen fixes, update rollbacks, password resets, user-profile repairs—must already be second nature. As well as formatting and windows setup on
existing laptop.

Printers occasionally misbehave, so installing drivers, clearing stubborn queues, and persuading devices to stay online will also sit on your plate. Around the office you will help trace loose cables, patch users into the correct switch ports, test Wi-Fi signal, and make sure everyone can actually reach the internet. Any other minor IT hiccup (a screen won’t turn on, an adapter has vanished, someone needs a quick how-to) will be routed to you before it becomes a bigger problem.

Key deliverables each week
• Smooth setup of every new Windows laptop, fully updated and ready for use
• Same-day resolution or escalation of user-reported laptop or printer issues
• Reliable on-site network connectivity: Wi-Fi checked, switches and cabling support
• A brief end-of-week log outlining tasks completed and any outstanding items

I’m open to discussing the payment structure once we agree on availability and scope; please state your expected monthly figure when you respond.
