Network Engineer Needed: Debug Docker Networking, Stubby, & VPN Stack

Job ID: 40004185

Budget: $50 – $0 USD

We are seeking an experienced Linux/Network Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve a networking bug in our privacy stack. Our system runs on a Ruby on Rails platform, utilizing Dockerized services including Stubby and VPN protocols. We have multiple units successfully running in production, but a recent development has caused connectivity instability in a subset of clients.

Seeking additional network expertise to diagnose the root cause—whether it is a Docker networking conflict, an  iptables  misconfiguration, or an upstream TLS handshake failure.

Required Skills
• Deep Linux Networking:  iptables ,  ip route , systemd-resolved,  /etc/resolv.conf  management.
• Troubleshooting: Experience with command-line debugging tools ( tcpdump ,  netstat ,  openssl ).

Helpful Skills, but not required:
• Devops skills - Ansible and Docker
• Ruby on Rails
• Encryption/Privacy Protocols
• Experience with mainland China networks a plus

Potential for long-term maintenance role. Please provide rough estimate for initial diagnosis, followed by final fix/root-cause analysis.
