* Role Overview
Sors is seeking a dedicated System Monitoring / Operation Specialist to ensure the continuous operation of our mission-critical systems. The role is pivotal in maintaining system uptime, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support seamless operations.
* Key Responsibilities
• System Monitoring: Continuously monitor mission-critical systems to ensure 24/7 availability and performance.
• Troubleshooting & Escalation: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system downtime issues promptly or escalate to appropriate teams for resolution.
• Liaison with External Partners: Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support system operations and resolve issues.
• Project Research: Conduct research to support ongoing and upcoming projects, providing insights and recommendations.
• Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform additional tasks as assigned, including operational support and process improvements.
• Bookkeeping & Record Maintenance: Manage internal bookkeeping records, including coordination with banks and financial institutions for operational transactions.
* Payment Terms: System Monitoring / Operation Specialist
Payment Structure
• The role offers a two-part payment structure based on a total amount.
• Initial Payment: 85% of the total amount will be paid immediately following the end of each month.
• Deferred Payment: The remaining 15% will be paid after the annual performance review in January.
Payment Conditions
• To be eligible for the full payment (both initial and deferred portions), you must remain employed with the company through the end of the calendar year.
• Performance will be evaluated based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which will be provided along with detailed guidance.
• Full payment is contingent upon meeting or exceeding the established KPIs.
Performance Penalties
• Low performance, as determined by failure to meet KPIs, will result in penalties that may reduce the total payment.
• Specific infractions, such as being away from your desk during designated work time, may also result in penalties.
Support and Guidance
• Sors will provide clear KPIs and ongoing guidance to support your success in meeting performance expectations.
* Qualifications & Skills
• Experience:
o 1+ years of experience in system monitoring, IT operations, or a similar role.
o Familiarity with troubleshooting system outages and coordinating escalations.
• Soft Skills:
o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with external partners.
o Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability: Willingness to work in shifts to support 24/7 system coverage.

• Knowledge of ITIL processes or other IT service management frameworks.
