Fixing Local PC Issue - FTP Cannot connect
Budget: £10 – £20 GBP
I am looking for a freelancer who can help me resolve a local PC issue related to the FTP connection.
A few days ago Filezilla cannot be used to connect to the server from PC A, and PC B located in the same house which uses the same broadband still works perfectly.
Apart from the Filezilla failure, my local C# apps also complain that "The remote server returned an error: 229 Entering Extended Passive Mode (|||16049|)"
I don't think anything major has been installed on the PC for the past few days. I would rather you find out the root cause without reinstalling the PC. I don't think you can just change the active/passive mode in FileZilla as other in-house apps don't work as well on the FTP connection.
I will be sharing my screen with you using TeamViewer/Teams/Zoom, and you will need to perform the fixing. You will not get paid unless you manage to fix it.
Operating System: Windows
Access to FTP Server: Yes
Previous Attempts: Yes
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting FTP connection issues on Windows operating system
- Strong knowledge of FTP protocols and configurations
- Experience in resolving connectivity issues and troubleshooting network settings
- Familiarity with Windows Firewall and antivirus software configurations
- Ability to identify and resolve potential conflicts with other applications or services running on the system
If you possess the necessary skills and experience to fix this FTP connection issue on a Windows PC, please submit your proposal.
