Fix Windows Server 2022 RDP

Job ID: 40226194

Budget: €30 – €250 EUR

My Windows Server 2022 has suddenly stopped accepting Remote Desktop sessions. Each time I try, the client shows a generic “network error” and never reaches the credential prompt. The network interface, firewall rules, and port forwarding all look correct on my side, so the usual checks haven’t revealed anything obvious.

I need someone who can step in, locate the real cause of the connection failure, and restore a stable RDP service without disrupting the other roles running on the server. You are free to use any standard tools you rely on—Event Viewer, PowerShell, Network Monitor, Group Policy review, or NIC/drivers diagnostics—as long as the end result is a working, secure Remote Desktop connection.

Deliverables
• Root-cause report describing what blocked the RDP traffic
• All configuration changes or patches applied to resolve it
• Confirmation that RDP connects reliably from an external client after the fix
• Quick written checklist so I can repeat the troubleshooting steps if this reappears
