Fix Windows 11 Remote Access Issue Using Windows Remote Desktop Connection

I'm facing a challenge connecting to my Windows 11 Pro machine remotely with Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection while using public Wi-Fi. I receive an error message stating "Cannot connect to the remote PC" or something similar. I am simply trying to use my laptop computer to connect to personal desktop computer when traveling. The desktop computer is set to never sleep eliminating this known potential issue for failures to connect. Setting never sleep feature on laptop is not going to work as the computer needs to be shut down when traveling by air and cannot be plugged in and running 24/7.
