Fix RRAS Startup Error

Job ID: 40413611

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

The Routing and Remote Access service on my Windows Server 2022 refuses to start and throws “A service-specific error occurred: 2 (File not found).” I have already restarted the machine and confirmed that all listed service dependencies are present and running, yet RRAS still will not initialise. There have been no recent configuration changes that could explain the sudden failure.

I need someone who knows RRAS inside out to connect remotely, identify the missing file or mis-pointed path that is triggering error 2, and bring the service back online without disrupting any other roles on the box. A concise summary of what you changed (registry edits, driver reinstalls, role feature repair, etc.) will be required once the fix is verified so I can document the solution internally.

Acceptance criteria
• Routing and Remote Access starts cleanly and stays running after a reboot.
• Root cause and remediation steps are provided in a short write-up.

If you have deep Windows Server 2022 experience and can tackle this quickly, I’m ready to get you access right away.
