Drupal 10 Expert for Theme Error Fix
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Need Drupal 10 Expert to Fix Theme Error + Help Restore Dev Environment
Description:
I’m looking for an experienced Drupal 10 theming specialist to help me fix a small but blocking issue in a mirrored development environment.
I have a fresh Drupal 10.5 install running fine with Olivero, but enabling my custom parent/child themes (GeneSys + SfO) triggers this error:
Call to undefined function main_content_unpublished() in genesys_preprocess_page()
The exact same theme stack already works perfectly on Production (also Drupal 10.5), so the goal is simply to make the dev environment behave like prod and restore the expected theme functionality.
Current Setup
• Drupal 10.5, docroot is the Drupal root (no /web subfolder).
• Fresh install is working using Olivero 10.5.8 as the default theme.
• I have a parent theme: GeneSys and a child theme: Source from Ontario.
• The site I’m mirroring is: http://bit.ly/4rWYyzs
• The new dev copy is at: https://digexart.com/devops10/
• When enabling GeneSys, I get this fatal error:
Error:
Call to undefined function main_content_unpublished() in genesys_preprocess_page() (line 298 of themes/genesys/genesys.theme)
Error: Call to undefined function dateFormatter() in sfo_preprocess_node() (line 937 of themes/SFO/sfo.theme).
What I need:
• Identify why the theme loads correctly in Production but fails in Dev
• Fix the missing function/error so the theme can be enabled safely
• Cleanly enable and set the child theme as default on the dev site, keeping Olivero available as a fallback.
• Confirm GeneSys + SfO work without breaking the site
• Provide brief notes on what was fixed
• Optional / future work (not included in initial pay):
• Full environment mirroring validation
Requirements:
• Strong Drupal 9/10 theme experience
• Ability to troubleshoot preprocess functions and theme inheritance
• Familiarity with cPanel hosting and non-Composer installs
