Xhosa Native Speakers For Sentence Reading Project
Budget: $10 – $12 USD
Hello,
We are looking for Xhosa Native Speakers to work on the Sentence Reading project.
Using an Android device or a computer with Windows OS is a must.
iPhone or any other iOS devices will not work.
It is highly encouraged to do all the recordings at one time, but even if you close and open later on, continue from where you stopped. All your work is saved, it will not get lost.
Read each sentence only once.
A clear voice is a must. If there is any background noise, your work may not be approved.
For the first 10 recordings, please use the “Playback” option after every single recording.
Make sure the volume on your microphone is high enough and your voice is picked up well.
After the first 10 recordings, you should only need to re-check if you have any doubt that the recording could be bad for any reason (ex. if you change the location where you are recording).
If you make a mistake, there is no way currently to correct the recording. Please simply continue to the next prompt.
Once you reach the maximum number of recordings allowed by the project, you will receive a message saying “There is no more work in your session.”
You can check your progress towards the maximum recordings by looking at the count for the most recent file uploaded. Should you for whatever reason have to refresh the page the counter will start again. For this reason, please avoid refreshing the page and make sure you keep track of how many prompts you have already completed before refreshing so as to not go over the maximum.
Make sure that all the audios are uploaded successfully. If an audio is not uploaded, you will notice the upload failed. You must record another one to compensate. If you get this message a lot, it will be due to bad internet and connection.
