Translators / Translation Services

At A5 we are looking for translators of English into French Canadian, Japanese, Spanish (LATAM) and Brazilian Portuguese who can support different language-related tasks with the mission to expand to broader audiences.

Responsibilities

- Read given material and research industry-specific terminology
- Translate short pieces of content
- Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone
- Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy
- Perform LQA (linguistic quality assessments) over samples of translated texts
QA content in context (websites or apps)
- Network with linguists for other languages to align on best practices and guidelines
- Support on Style Guide creation
- Support on terminology extraction and glossary creation
- Support on DNT (do not translate) lists building

Must have

- Proven work experience as a translator or similar role
- Fluency in English in addition to your native language
- Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors
- Experience in reference material creation
- Time flexibility and wide availability

Ideal to have

- Advanced knowledge in another one of the required languages
- Poker or gaming experience
