Translator Needed: English to Spanish translation of Training Courses

We are looking for a Translator to interpret written pieces in English into Spanish, making sure to maintain their original meaning, format and tone. Ultimately, you will provide ready-to-use translated content that is text messaging based micro-learning training courses.

Translator responsibilities include reading and thoroughly understanding the context of given material, using specialized dictionaries & proofreading finished pieces of work. To be successful in this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and be fluent in English and Spanish.

There are approximately 110 micro-text message courses. Each course could may be 5-10 lessons. A lesson is no more than 1200 characters and quiz questions.

Translator responsibilities include:

Converting text message courses from English into Spanish.
Ensuring translated texts conveys original meaning and tone
Each micro lesson comprises of 700-1200 text characters, including emojis (yes, you read it correctly.) and quiz questions.
Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check quality of translation
Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy
Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their needs
Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g. font, emojis and structure)

Requirements
Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role
Fluency in English & Spanish
Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors
Good knowledge of content editing tools
Time-management skills
BA or BS in Translation, Interpreting or similar field
Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus
