I have written a short story in another language that sits somewhere between 1,000 – 5,000 words, and I now need a polished English version. I’m aiming for a translation that reads as if it were originally crafted in English—smooth, vivid and true to the original voice, imagery and rhythm.
What you’ll do
• Read the entire piece, grasp its mood and narrative flow, then render it into clear, engaging English.
• Preserve cultural nuances, names and idioms where possible, offering a brief note if something must be adapted.
• Deliver the final manuscript in either Word or Google Docs, ready for publication, with spelling and grammar already proof-checked.
Acceptance criteria
• All passages translated (no machine-generated chunks left untouched).
• Tone and pacing feel natural to a native English reader while remaining faithful to the source.
• Consistent tense, character names and terminology throughout.
