v2 Translate Phillipi on von Hofmann re Atonement; German (fraktur) to English
Budget: €8 – €31 EUR
Translate about 20,372 words from Friedrich Adolph Philippi, Dr. von Hofmann on the Lutheran doctrine of reconciliation and justification (Heyder & Zimmer, 1856), from the last three lines of page 17 to the end on page 76, into English mostly from German (fraktur) but also containing some Greek and Latin.
The German is to be translated into English, but the Greek and Latin are to be transliterated and left in Greek and Latin. Any Scripture quotations appearing in German in the source text to be rendered in English by following the New King James Version translation (Thomas Nelson).
Familiarity with Lutheran theology in the Book of Concord would be an advantage. Familiarity with controversy at Erlangen University about the atonement (von Hofmann, Theodosius Harnack, Gottfried Thomasius, and Friedrich Philippi) would be a superior advantage.
