I’m looking to create ebooks from books in the public domain.
I need someone to transcribe or convert PDF, e-pub, and PDFX files of selected public domain titles into two versions and two formats. The first version is the original but annotated; the second version needs to be in a vernacular that’s conversational and easy to read and under various pen-name.
95% of the content of the second version will remain the same as the original. The 5% that would be different would be dates, referenced examples, personal anecdotes, updated pop culture references, and the like.
**Some titles may only have the 2nd version**
The word count for each book will be, on average, between 35,000 and 70,000 words. However, a few will be less than 35,000 words.
I’m looking for a minimum of 50 books with an average of 50,000 words per book.
I imagine expanding the library beyond 50 books but will commit to a minimum of 50 for now.
I am looking for deliverables of two to four titles per month for the 1st 20 titles and as many as 5+ per month for the next 20 titles.
If all goes as I imagine, this could be an ongoing project with upwards of 2,000 plus titles.
