Professional German to English translator
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
Have some bank statements that require translation from German into English by a professional translator. This is for a visa application and has some particular requirements, namely being translated by someone with the adequate training and to provide the following details:
"Translators outside Australia do not have to be accredited. But on each translation, they must include their:
full name
address and telephone number
qualifications and experience in the language they are translating
These details must be in English.
Note: You do not need to have any documents certified."
Please do not apply unless you are happy to provide the previous information. This is an easy job with very simple text which I could do myself with basic German knowledge in a few hours. I am just not legally allowed to, so someone else has to do it
I have attached a sample of what the statements look like. In total, there are 97 pages that look like this. Have them as editable Word files, so all the repeated words can be translated at once. The bulk of the text is the same simple words over and over again (Uberweisung, Lastschrift, guthaben...), which can easily be translated simultaneously across the entire document. The details of the movement does not need to be translated (currently shown as black boxes in the document)
The layout is always the same and once the first statement is translated, the rest is literally a copy+paste/replace job. I estimate that the whole thing will take a few hours at most, with the majority of the time being cross-checking that everything is in its proper place. When you send your quote, include your fee and the number of hours you think you will need. If I think we are on the same page, I will send you a word file of the compiled statements and you can make any final adjustements to the rate before we proceed.
PS: Probably not a one-off job, as this is part of a partner visa application and will likely have more random documents to translate in the future (rental contracts, insurance agreements, etc.). I would prefer someone who would be available for future jobs, when I have other documents that need a translation, in order to avoid using 2-5 different people for the same visa application.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions
