Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I have a set of audio-recorded interviews in Shona, each running 30–60 minutes, that I need converted into polished, bilingual documents. Your job is to listen closely, capture every spoken word in Shona, then translate it line-by-line into clear, natural-sounding English. Accuracy outranks speed because the texts will feed directly into an academic study.
Whenever a new voice is obvious, tag it simply as “Interviewer” or “Interviewee.” If a phrase can’t be made out, insert “[inaudible]” and include a timestamp so I can locate the spot quickly. While I want the English to read smoothly, keep it as faithful as possible to the original intent and tone—think conversational rather than overly academic.
Deliverables
• One Microsoft Word file per interview, containing:
– Full Shona transcription
– Aligned English translation beneath each segment
• Consistent “Interviewer” / “Interviewee” labels throughout
• Timestamps for every “[inaudible]” moment
• A brief availability window after delivery for any minor clarifications I may request
