Luganda Conversations to English Translations

Job ID: 40030708

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I have a collection of more than 40 recorded conversations in Luganda ( about total 4 minutes) 10-30 seconds each that I’d like to understand fully in English for my own personal reference. Your task is to listen to each audio file and provide a clear, natural-sounding English translation that stays faithful to the original meaning, tone, and context of the speakers.

Because these are conversational recordings, you will often encounter informal speech, idiomatic expressions, and natural back-and-forth dialogue. Please capture nuances such as pauses, laughter, or shifts in tone only when they change the sense of the exchange; otherwise, keep the focus on clean, readable English. You are free to use any transcription or audio-editing tools (Audacity, Express Scribe, Google Docs voice typing, etc.) that speed up your workflow, as long as accuracy remains the priority.

Deliverables for each audio file:
• A time-stamped English text document (simple HH:MM:SS markers every 30 seconds are fine - or each audio file).
• A brief note if any sections are unclear or inaudible.

I will supply the audio files in batches once we start. Let me know your estimated turnaround time for the first batch and any questions you have about dialect, speaker count, or file formats. Looking forward to working with someone who has solid Luganda fluency and a sharp ear for conversational detail.
