Literary Translation & Editing Support
Budget: $10 – $88 USD
I’m preparing a novel for international release and need expert linguistic support in Spanish, French, and German. The manuscript is already complete in English; what I require now is a seamless literary translation into each target language, followed by accurate transcription of any dialogue recordings I may supply, and a careful proofreading pass to polish tone, flow, and idiomatic nuance.
Here’s how I see the workflow:
• Translation – full 90-k word manuscript rendered into natural, publish-ready Spanish, French, and German.
• Transcription – occasional voice memos or scene rewrites (MP3/WAV) typed verbatim in the corresponding language.
• Proofreading – a final sweep for grammar, consistency, and stylistic harmony, preserving the authorial voice.
Please be comfortable with creative writing conventions, maintain confidentiality, and be ready to collaborate through Google Docs or your preferred CAT tool if it speeds things up. Deliver files in both tracked-changes and clean versions so I can review every edit with ease.
If you thrive on literary projects and can capture subtle emotion as well as technical accuracy, I’d love to hear how you would approach the first chapters and your expected turnaround time for the full book.
