Hindi & Punjabi Transcription Project

I have scanned images of handwritten personal letters in both Hindi and Punjabi. To make sure we are the right fit for one another, I would like you to start with a pilot batch of five pages. Your task is simple yet detail-oriented: read the handwriting carefully and reproduce every word in a clean plain-text file—no formatting, no OCR shortcuts, strictly human transcription.

Accuracy matters more than speed; diacritics, line breaks, and any visible corrections in the original should be reflected exactly as written. If a word is illegible, mark it with “[unclear]” so I can review it later.

Once the sample is delivered to specification, you’ll move on to the full collection of 100+ pages. A strong track record in both Hindi and Punjabi transcription is essential, so please share relevant examples or references when you apply. Confidentiality is expected because the letters are private.

Deliverable:
• One UTF-8 plain-text file containing verbatim transcriptions of the first five pages, clearly separated by page breaks (“— Page 1 —”, “— Page 2 —”, etc.).

I will review the file for completeness and fidelity against the scans; if everything aligns, we’ll proceed immediately to the remainder of the project.
