We are seeking a part-time Latin American Spanish /English Translator to help our legal team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to help the legal team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional translators. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of translating documents but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.

Job Description:

We are looking for a part-time (up to 15-20 hours per week) Translator who will be responsible for translating our Spanish content to English-speaking audiences and vice versa. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, translation and quality control of Latin American/Spanish content.

Job Responsibilities:

Translates letters, contracts, and other documents.

Keeps the firm’s legal staff informed on linguistic, cultural, socio-economic, and other factors to ensure accurate communication takes place between all parties.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Attributes & Background:

Certification in translation, interpretation, or similar certification required.

A native speaker is highly recommended.

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in any field of study preferred(Not Compulsory).

Some knowledge of legal concepts or language preferred.

1-3 years of translation/interpretation experience with a turnaround time of 1 business day(Also open to new good translators).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and Spanish is required.

Must have excellent customer service skills and a courteous and professional demeanor.

Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines effectively.

Must be able to take personal responsibility for assignments.

Must have a can-do attitude, be flexible and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial business culture.

Work environment is a remote, home-based location. Must have a quiet workspace from which to work from.
