Game Lore Multilingual Translation
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
I’m finishing the background lore for an ancient-history themed video game and now need that material brought to a global audience. The source text is currently in Portuguese(Brazil) and Tagalog; there may be the odd excerpt in another language, but I’m not certain yet, so I’ll supply everything for you to inspect first.
For this first phase I’m looking for polished, publication-ready translations into Spanish, English, Finish, and so on. Each language can be handled by one specialist or a small team—as long as consistency of terminology is guaranteed. Accuracy matters more than speed, and I’m happy to clarify historical references or in-game names whenever needed.
What I’ll hand over:
• A single master document (Word + PDF) containing the full narrative and any side-notes already compiled for the game’s writers.
• A simple glossary of key character names, locations and gameplay terms.
What I’d like back from you:
• A translated version in the same structure and file format, preserving headings, styles and in-line comments.
• A short change log if you encounter ambiguities that require feedback.
Feel free to use CAT tools such as Trados, MemoQ or Wordfast if that speeds up your workflow; just be sure the final file is clean and free of tags.
If you’re confident with historical terminology and can commit to one of the three target languages, let me know your experience and turnaround time. I’m planning follow-up phases for additional languages once this batch is complete, so there’s room for an ongoing collaboration.
