Epic Fantasy Story Translator
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
An epic-toned fantasy short story written in Spanish needs to be rendered into fluid, engaging English while preserving its larger-than-life atmosphere, lyrical flair, and world-building nuances. The piece runs under 5,000 words and is already edited on the Spanish side; what it lacks is an English version that sounds as if it were originally penned in that language.
The assignment covers:
• Delivering a clean, publication-ready translation in Word (or Google Docs) with the same paragraph breaks, dialogue punctuation, and italics as the source.
• Keeping character names, invented terms, and magic-system vocabulary consistent; add a brief translator’s note if anything must be adapted.
• Capturing the epic register—grand descriptions, formal speech patterns, and heroic stakes—without slipping into archaic or stilted prose.
• A light second pass after my review to tidy up any feedback or clarifications.
Completion will be accepted once the final document reads smoothly, matches the tone and pacing of the original, and no obvious translation artifacts remain.
