English to German (de_DE) translation required for WordPress plugin (7000 words)
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
If you translate with AI and are not experienced in German, this is not for you.
My Budget: USD 80.
I am a WordPress plugin developer. My plugin is published in English. Now, I want to translate it into German (de_DE). The total word count of untranslated strings is 7000.
I have attached an Excel file. There are two sheets in this Excel file: Stable and Stable_Readme.
Please write only in the 'German (de_DE)' column and don't make any changes in any other columns; otherwise, the submission to translate.wordpress.org will fail.
In the Stable sheet, translate only column A. Other columns are to inform you of the context.
In the Stable_Readme sheet, translate only column D. You don't need to look at columns A and C in this sheet. Please keep the formatting in the translated sentence (underline, bold, etc.).
Please note the following points:
1. Are you aware of the placeholders for variables, e.g., %s, %d, %1$s, %2$s, etc.? I have translators' comments to help you understand the meaning of the placeholders. You don't need to translate these. Just put them in the right place in the translated sentence.
2. There are a few HTML codes in the second link. Are you familiar with HTML code? If your answer is 'no', that is not a problem because I'll replace the HTML code with underlined or bold formatting. You need to maintain the formatting in the translated sentences so that I can put the HTML code again in the right place after your translation.
3. WordPress needs the translation according to the style guidelines of German (https://de.wordpress.org/mitwirken/style-guide-fuer-uebersetzungen/) and glossary (https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/de/default/glossary/). You need to follow these. I’ll send you two links on the wordpress.org website, with which tracking the glossary will be effortless. Apart from the glossary page, it is hyperlinked with the words in the original text. If you mouse over any dotted underlined word, you'll see the part of speech-wise translation of that word.
4. The editors review the translations submitted to the WordPress.org website. They are human, not AI. If they find any error, they will not approve it; they will suggest changes. Then, we need to resubmit the translation by making the required changes. I only understand English, so I must rely on the human editors to know whether I need any revisions. The reviews will be publicly available on the two links that I’ll send you. The review process by the editors requires a few hours to a few weeks. You need to wait until they review it. If the manual editor doesn't approve even after your first revision, you need to provide further changes.
Please contact me before placing a bid if you need the two links mentioned above or have any questions.
Thank you.
