Dutch Film Subtitle Proofreading
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
We are a documentary distribution company looking for a freelancer to proofread and correct, where necessary, a Dutch subtitle file for an exciting documentary film about A Russian anti-war activist. It has already been machine-translated, but needs some finessing to remove glaring grammatical errors and make sure it reads fluently. Ideally, you will be a native Dutch speaker, or have a C2 level of proficiency in Dutch (CEFR), and have a strong command of English.
In total, we need you to check subtitles for the feature and the trailer. We also need you to translate a very brief English synopsis from scratch. You will be granted access to our YouTube studio to watch the necessary materials and make the necessary corrections from within YouTube studio.
Because this is quite a short film (54 minutes) and shouldn't take too much time to proofread, we can offer £40 max for the job.
We would like to have the film back as soon as possible, within three days of us accepting your bid at the latest. If you do a good job and deliver on time, we are likely to give you more work of this kind in the future and invite you to our trusted proofreaders group where we post regular assignments.Let us know if you are interested!
