Chinese Subtitle Integration for Cinematics
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I have a batch of MP4 cut-scenes and narrative cinematics that are now picture-locked and ready for Simplified Chinese subtitles. Everything else in the game—menus, HUD, tutorials—is already localized, so the scope is strictly these pre-rendered videos.
The audio is entirely in English; I will supply clean dialogue scripts and time-coded English captions to speed things up. You will translate the dialogue into Simplified Chinese, build perfectly timed subtitles, and embed them into each MP4 using the specific font I’ll provide (I’ll send the actual .ttf file). The font choice is non-negotiable because it matches the in-game typography.
Final deliverables:
• One subtitled MP4 for every cinematic, matching original resolution and bitrate
• A separate .srt for each video, using the same timing and font tags for future reference
Acceptance criteria: no line exceeds two 汉字 lines on screen, minimum one-second display per subtitle, zero overlaps, correct encoding (UTF-8). Once I receive the first finished clip, I’ll review it for timing, legibility, and font consistency before green-lighting the rest.
Tools such as Aegisub, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or Subtitle Workshop are all fine as long as the output meets the above specs.
