Bilingual English & French Proofreader (Part-Time, Flexible, Long-Term)

Overview:
We’re looking for a reliable bilingual proofreader to review content in both English and French (Canadian French preferred). This is a flexible, part-time role, paid hourly in CAD, and ideal for someone who enjoys clear, inclusive communication and culturally aware content.

Key Responsibilities:
- Proofread short-form copy: product descriptions, packaging, website content, emails, and social media posts
- Ensure grammar, clarity, and natural tone in both languages
- Maintain inclusive language and consistency
- Occasionally check for alignment between English and French versions

Requirements:
- Native or near-native fluency in English and French
- Experience in proofreading or editing (marketing, e-commerce, or educational content a plus)
- Strong attention to tone, inclusivity, and cultural nuance

Ability to meet flexible deadlines (1–2 business day turnaround preferred)

Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Canadian French
- Light translation skills (EN ↔ FR)
- Experience with Shopify or similar platforms

Compensation:
- Hourly rate in CAD (please include your rate in your application)
- Estimated 1–3 hours/week, depending on workload
