Take notes on conversations
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I needs someone to take as detailed and accurate notes as possible from audio recordings between a consultant and a client. Word-for-word transcription is not necessary, and the expectation is that you will only listen to the recording one time, while taking the notes.
Again, to re-emphasize:
1. This is NOT word-for-word transcription. It is note-taking. You may use abbreviations and contractions, acronyms and other shortcuts, as long as you use them consistently and they are easily understood.
2. Accuracy is important. 95% accuracy will not be accepted. (We could get that from Otter.ai)
3. Fast typing speed is essential. You are expected to capture the ENTIRE conversation by typing notes on the fly, without listening to the recording twice. TYPING SPEED: We have found that exceptional typing skills are required for this job. 100+ WPM with good accuracy.
AUTOMATIC TRANSCRIPTIONS: If you use an automatic transcription for your first pass--something like Otter.ai or any other automatic transcription, we will know and you will not get this job.
ONGOING WORK: This job consists of 6-10 hours of recordings to convert to notes, roughly every-other week.
PAY: I pay PER-RECORDING, not per minute. Each recording is roughly 60-65 minutes.
NOTE-TAKING PLATFORM: You can use whatever program you want to take notes. We strongly prefer Microsoft OneNote so that you can use the indent feature to indicate portions of the conversation that go together.
NOTE-TAKING CONVENTIONS: We prefer that you separate the two speakers by using italics for one of the speakers. Also, if possible, use outline form (indents) for each section of the conversation. we do not expect you to be able to do that until you have taken notes on a few conversations. I have attached a sample recording that is fairly typical, though perhaps easier to understand than some of our others.
