Marathi Audio Transcription
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have 430 mp4 telephone recordings spoken in Marathi, running a combined 3016 minutes. The clips are mixed lengths—from quick half-minute calls to longer sessions of about an hour—so you will meet all three categories:
• 33 minutes under 30 seconds
• 248 minutes between 30 seconds and 5 minutes
• 2700 minutes over 5 minutes
Your task is to listen to every file and produce a written record in plain UTF-8 text. Ideally, I would like two versions for each recording:
1. A faithful Marathi transcript.
2. An English translation directly beneath or following the original.
If your rate only covers the Marathi transcript, let me know; I can decide whether to commission the translations separately.
Key points to follow
– Deliver one .txt file per audio, named to match the original filename.
– No timestamps are needed.
– Keep the wording true to the conversation—minor grammatical smoothing is fine, but do not omit or summarise content.
– Telephone audio often includes overlapping speech or background noise; flag any unintelligible sections with “[inaudible]”.
I will supply the audio via a shared drive link. Please outline your expected turnaround time for the full 3016 minutes (or, if preferred, a phased schedule). Accuracy and consistency matter more than speed, so mention any relevant tools (Express Scribe, oTranscribe, etc.) or past Marathi transcription work when you respond.
