Historical Records Transcription Expert Needed
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
We are seeking a professional transcriber to assist in extracting names and dates from historical criminal records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and transcribe information from scanned images of historical records.
- Input extracted data into an online data entry program.
Ideal Skills:
- Previous experience with transcription.
- Proficient in reading English handwritten records.
- Able to maintain a pace of 1 image/page per 2 minutes.
This is a 20-hour project, with the potential for an additional 60 hours. We are looking for someone who can help reduce the remaining workload performed by volunteers. We own and maintain the data entry software, and will be able to deal with any issues that may arise.
