Formatted Handwritten Notes Entry
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I need several notebooks of densely written material converted into clean, editable digital text. The pages contain headers, nested bullet lists, arrows, superscripts, and other custom symbols, so simple typing will not be enough—I want the layout and special marks reproduced as faithfully as possible.
Here is what matters to me:
• Accuracy in transcribing every word from the handwritten notes, including any specialised symbols or shorthand I use.
• Faithful recreation of the original structure: section headings, sub-points, bullet hierarchy, underlining, and margin notes must appear exactly where they belong in the final file.
• Delivery in an easy-to-edit format (Word or Google Docs is fine) with styles applied so I can adjust formatting globally later.
I will provide high-resolution scans to start. Feel free to use OCR as a first pass, but I expect thorough manual proofing to correct recognition errors and to insert the non-standard symbols that OCR usually misses.
Acceptance criteria:
1. 100 % of pages transcribed.
2. No more than a 1 % error rate on spelling or missing characters.
3. Original page order and heading hierarchy retained.
4. All symbols rendered consistently using Unicode or an agreed-upon notation.
If you have experience deciphering complex handwriting and working with structured documents, let’s talk.
