Book Translation Project
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
A full-length book manuscript needs to move seamlessly from its current language into the target language while preserving the author’s voice, tone, and narrative flow. I will supply the complete, properly formatted source file along with any glossaries or reference material already on hand.
Here’s what the job entails:
• Translate every chapter, front matter, and back matter accurately and idiomatically.
• Keep the original structure—chapter headings, footnotes, page breaks, and any embedded illustrations or tables.
• Deliver the final text in an editable Word file (and a clean PDF copy) so I can lay it out for print and e-book formats.
If you normally work with CAT tools such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, or Wordfast, feel free to use them as long as the final copy is free of machine-translation artifacts. A short sample (two to three pages) may be requested before we proceed with the full manuscript so I can confirm style suitability. Once the sample is approved, you’ll receive the remaining chapters in batches with clear deadlines for each section.
Quality, consistency, and respect for the original voice will be the primary acceptance criteria.
