In-Home Laundry & Ironing Workshop

Job ID: 39978357

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I’m arranging a hands-on session at my home for a small group of four to six people—household staff and family members—who already have an intermediate grasp of good garment care. We want to step up our game and learn professional techniques for every stage of the process, from sorting, stain-treating, and machine settings through to pressing, steaming, and garment finishing.

What I need from you
• One in-person training visit (date and time flexible)
• A structured, easy-to-follow agenda that balances quick theory with plenty of live demonstration and supervised practice
• Guidance on best-practice detergent choices, water temperature, fabric-specific cycles, proper drying, folding, and storage
• Advanced ironing skills: steam vs. dry, temperature control by fabric, using pressing cloths, crease creation, and safe handling of delicate pieces such as silk or linen
• Tips for maintaining equipment—washer, dryer, steam iron, pressing board—and troubleshooting common issues
• A concise reference sheet or checklist we can keep by the laundry station to reinforce what we learn

Expectations
By the end of the session every participant should feel confident enough to tackle a full laundry load—including tricky items—and turn out perfectly pressed garments without shine marks or scorch risk. If you like to bring samples, test fabrics, or specialty tools, let me know so I can have space prepared. I will supply our current machines, detergents, and irons; you supply the expertise.

If this sounds like a match, please outline your plan, estimated session length, and any materials you recommend we procure in advance.
