Add Drag-Drop Trading Orders -- 2
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
The existing platform is completely custom and runs on the classic MERN-style stack: React on the front end, a Node/Express API layer, and MySQL for persistence. Market orders are already in place, but the desk still lacks visual, drag-and-drop controls for advanced order types. The task is to weave the following into the current codebase:
• Limit entries (buy / sell)
• Stop losses
• Take-profit targets
• Trailing stop losses
Each order must be draggable on the chart so I can adjust price levels in real time; once dropped, the new values should commit instantly to MySQL and broadcast through the existing WebSocket feed so all open sessions stay in sync.
Key points to keep in mind
– React: use functional components and hooks (the rest of the UI does).
– Express: slot new endpoints cleanly into the current routing scheme and respect existing JWT auth.
– MySQL: follow the current schema style; migrations are handled with Knex.
– Concurrency: changes pushed through websockets must be idempotent to avoid order duplication.
Acceptance criteria
1. Dragging an order updates price, stop, or target without page refresh.
2. Server receives, validates, and stores every change; client confirmation appears in <100 ms on a local network.
3. Unit tests cover core calculations (e.g., trailing offset logic).
4. A short README explains setup and any new env vars.
Hello I need someone to add these features to my system tat is already working.
You will create your own set of test keys from a site I will give you, you will then clone my website inside of my hosting on a mother path and setup within the system and work within the system of Hostinger.
